MORE THAN 50 HIGH SCHOOLS ARE HOLDING ORIENTATION FOR CLASS OF 2019 FRESHMAN OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS

PHILADELPHIA–Beginning this week, many School District of Philadelphia high schools will hold orientations for the Class of 2019. During a time where ninth graders are given more responsibilities and opportunities as high school students, orientation is designed to help prepare them for their increased role in their education.

At the orientation, administration and staff are available at each school to make the high school transition easier on students. The attendance and tardy policies, student code of conduct and school rules will all be explained to the incoming freshman. Students will receive welcome packets and course information to begin their new school year.
