Why The School District Of Philadelphia?
The School District of Philadelphia is the cornerstone of public education in our city. The 130,000 students entrusted to us arrive at our schools every day with an extraordinary range of needs. Our role is to ensure that every single student receives an excellent education. Equity is our mandate. At The School District of Philadelphia, we believe that all children deserves a great school close to where they live. Our students, their families and our community deserve our very best, and we work relentlessly to improve the academic outcomes and support the socio-emotional growth of all students.
Our more than 200 schools offer a wide range of employment opportunities for those who believe, like us, that zip code should not and cannot define destiny for our students. Our role is to ensure that under-served children and youth get better, more comprehensive options along with everyone else. We seek leaders who are deeply committed to equity and are excited to join us in our effort to make all of our schools great.
